Slow chat
#1
It seems that chat has been coming up late in both beta and regular versions about two weeks ago.
Of course, the speed of reading is slowed down a lot.
It took 13 seconds for the chat from YouTube to be read by speech chats.
There are 2 lines to 4 lines all at the same time.
If you have any suspicion or are already known, please give us an idea of what to do.

Thank you for the good program

Youtube has changed the policies at March 4 on how third parties to access their live chat APIs, which means we have to limit the refresh rate on receiving live chat messages.

We have just make a few adjustments to our program a moment ago, so it will only limit the refresh rate when the stream is offline and will return to the normal refresh rate when the stream goes online.

We would like to hear your feedback about this variation.

But I'm sorry. I am not good at English so I do not understand exactly what I can do right now.
'We have modified the program a little bit so you can check it in the stream'
Can I understand that?
If I understand what I mean, should I test it in beta?

Yes, you understood it correctly.

I would just like to clarify one point, the modification is applied to both the regular site (https://www.speechchat.com) and the beta site (https://beta.speechchat.com).

I will give feedback after tomorrow's monitoring.

I tested it on the air today.
It's true that chat has been delayed less than before, but it still exists.
But I have also confirmed another phenomenon.
Chat was coming up at normal speed, but the reading speed did not keep up

Before adjustment => Slow chat, slow speech
After adjustment => Chat improved, slow speech

Thanks for the feedback.

In regard to the slow speech, did it only happen on Youtube chat but not on other platforms (Twitch, Mixer)?

We disabled the adjustment temporarily because the amount of API calls increased too fast and reached the daily quota limit.

We apologize for any inconvenience we may have caused you, normal service will be resumed as soon as possible.

I do not have viewers in twitches, so it's hard to check
YouTube has about 5 viewers who can check it
I'm wondering if the amount of chats is not that great, and many other viewers are having the same problem.
Please let me know if you make any changes.
We will test and provide feedback on a daily basis. Big Grin

So using a stopwatch on twitch and youtube on my friends stream doing 2 tests it was about 11.5 sec on twitch and 16.15 sec on youtube.  To be fair twitch sound is always faster than twitch for me than youtube.

It was not just me.
I was worried that it might be a problem with my computer.
