The text to speech is too fast to understand. Is there a way to slow it down?

You can select the speed of the voice by adding yourself or the user that you want to modify this setting for in a group. You will need to do this for every user if I'm not mistaken, because I don't think there is a global reading speed option at the moment.

le texte oral est trop rapide pour le comprendre. Y  at-il une manière de le faire plus lentement

this should work. try it first as a message. you could vary the speed amount number between -10 and +10 , being normal speed 0.
