Speechchat on Edge Browser - RobbieSchro - 07-17-2026
I've been using SC on Edge for a while.
I love being able to use:
Microsoft ava multilingual online (natural) - English (united kingdom)
specifically. and with the personality setting.
halfway through a twitch stream yesterday, the Voice defaulted to the microsoft 'david' voice.
when I try to reconnect to 'ava'. I see the 3 default options. "david, mark, zira."
but then I see 100+ options that are all labeled "microsoft undefined online (natural) -english..."
I can select and use one of those, blindly.. but it switches back to david.
I've disconnected and reconnected my login. I've cleared my cache.

OMG! Same! This has been driving me nuts! I also use it with microsoft edge (because I stream, and if i use it with chrome, it picks up ALL chrome sounds - and chrome is my default browser that i use - i only use edge for this, so then there's no unwated sounds going on stream) -- yesterday it resorted to this almost immediately upon me going live (like within the first couple minutes) -- and i've done EVERYTHING to fix it and NOTHING is working! I've even done extra steps... Chrome is also missing the voices but there, it's showing maybe a dozen choices but most are asian. But Edge is just showing the 3 microsoft voices (which are awful) and all the rest as undefinied.
I also updated windows, repeated all steps again... nothing is fixing this! Every google attempt for help is basically saying it's a problem on my end but i did NOTHING to cause this change!
