I'm blind. I use TTS all the time. Please, for the love of god, add a speed slider so I can move chat along at a brisk clip.

Very good idea,  ande a slider would be the best for control.
More realism in the long run

I think this is on the planned features post but it would be really nice if we got this.

+1 here.  Also, noticed that you can specify individual users with pitch/speed -- which is great and I put my most talkative people/regulars in a group and speed them up.  Though, as the name and message are read in the voice and speed selected, the 'Says' part is in the slower version.  Just a thought to keep all those similar.  And having a handful more 'voices' would be wonderful -- not sure how feasible getting more would be, but I would love to add personality to my more loyal chatters
